Chynel Phelan, B.Soc.Sc.Dip.LS.
Chynel Phelan, who comes from Monasterboice just outside Drogheda, was educated locally and graduated from UCD with a Degree in Social Science. Chynel subsequently completed her apprenticeship with the late Dick Branigan of Branigan Berkery Solicitors in Laurence Street, Drogheda, Co. Louth and qualified as a Solicitor in 1995. She practiced for a number of years with Branigan Berkery Solicitors and also at the offices of Oliver Shanley & Co. Solicitors in Navan, Co. Meath.
Chynel is a highly regarded litigator with extensive experience in personal injury litigation, family law, employment law and debt collection. She has advised and represented her clients over the years in all aspects of these areas and litigating these matters in the District Court, Circuit Court and High Court as well as the Employment Appeals Tribunal.
Patrick Branigan, B.C.L.
Patrick Branigan B.C.L. comes from a well- known Drogheda family and was educated through primary and secondary school at St Joseph’s CBS, Sunday’s Gate. On leaving school he studied law at U.C.D. and obtained his degree in 1985. He qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and worked in Clondalkin with John Sherlock and Co. for five years specialising in personal injuries litigation. He subsequently worked in Cavan for 3 years with George V Maloney and Company before setting up his own practice, Patrick Branigan and Co. in 1999. Patrick operated a general practice for 10 years before forming a partnership with Chynel Phelan in 2009.
